Te Atatu Fire Station

This brand new, state-of-the-art Fire Station was designed by partner Jonathan Hawksworth in conjunction with Ron Esveld Architect of Whangarei.

Built to house both permanent and volunteer crews, the building accommodates three fire appliances, five bedrooms, two locker rooms, two kitchens, dining and living spaces, office areas, a gymnasium and a lecture room.

The careful arrangement of forms and materials allows this commercial building to sit comfortably into its residential environment while delivering a highly specialized facility with a stunning visual presence.
